10% Povidone Iodine - 10mL

10% povidone-iodine is a broad-spectrum antiseptic effective against bacteria, fungi, and viruses. 

Tissue cultured plants are grown in sterile conditions making them especially vulnerable to contamination once removed from their culture vessel. After thoroughly rinsing all agar from the plantlet and roots, soak the tissue culture in a solution containing 3–5 drops of povidone-iodine per 2 cups of water.
